The Senior Development Manager is responsible for leading software development teams in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role involves strategic planning, coordination of multiple projects, mentoring team members, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that business and technical goals are met. The Senior Development Manager is responsible for leading software development teams in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role involves strategic planning, coordination of multiple projects, mentoring team members, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that business and technical goals are met. Responsibilities for this job include, but are not limited to, the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Oversee the development team(s), setting technical direction and ensuring alignment with company goals
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define product roadmaps and project plans
- Drive the execution of development projects, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality
standards - Identify and mitigate risks related to project delivery, technical challenges, and team performance??????
- Project Management:
- Manage the complete software development life cycle, from planning and requirements gathering to
deployment and maintenance - Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and budget management, ensuring effective delivery of
projects - Implement agile methodologies and best practices to improve team efficiency and product quality

- Team Leadership & Development:
- Recruit, mentor, and develop software engineers and other technical staff, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and guide professional development of team members
- Promote collaboration and effective communication across multidisciplinary teams
- Technical Oversight:
- Ensure software architecture and technical designs meet performance, security, and scalability requirements
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to improve the development process and products continuously
- Provide hands-on support in technical problem-solving, debugging, and optimizing code when necessary
- Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations) to align development
activities with business needs - Report regularly to senior management on project status, team performance, and any issues or risks
- Collaborate with external vendors or partners as necessary for software development or integration
efforts

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s Degree preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3-5 years in a management or leadership
role - Proven track record of managing large, complex projects through the entire development lifecycle
- Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and modern
development frameworks - Proficient in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and development tools (e.g., Jira, Git, CI/CD
pipelines) - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional
teams - Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all work
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to managing technical challenges
