Description:
Our Client is seeking to hire an IT Business Analyst/Product Owner to serve as a liaison between the business groups and IT, interacting with application users to bridge business needs with technology delivery. This individual works closely with stakeholders to enable business success through IT solutions. The IT Business Analyst is responsible for identifying, designing, and documenting the business requirements and provide technical support and solutions to meet business requirements or resolve business problems.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Facilitate discussions for requirement gathering, design and solutioning.
Lead team scrums to define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project
Collaborate with internal and external contacts to analyze needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals
Work closely with product managers and business teams to create and maintain product backlog according to business value or ROI
Capture, analyze, refine, articulate, and record business requirements, acceptance criteria, & documentation
Conducts walkthroughs, demos, and functionality feedback sessions with stakeholders
Work with IT and business to improve the adoption of existing and future solutions/applications
Assisting with implementation needs, including process clarifications, test case preparation and execution, when necessary
Collaborate with other IT functional areas to remain apprised of the project status, and inform business of progress
Creates and manages timelines, user stories, and project plans
Participate in regular scheduled team meetings
Plan and prioritize product development and product feature backlog
Develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they’re clearly understood by relevant teams
Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy
Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals
Lead the product-release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities
Serve as product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working in the role of Business Analyst or Product Owner role
Minimum 3 years’ experience working with SDLC process within an Agile environment
Experience working in Facility Performance Management
